Hadley offers practical tips for daily routines

The Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired offers a series of audio clips designed specifically to help visually impaired older adults with practical concerns like sorting medications, navigating the kitchen, or going out to eat. The clips are available free of charge on CD, thumb drive, or NLS DTBM-compatible cartridge. For more information, call Hadley at 1-800-323-4238.

Availability of talking prescription bottles expands

Walmart and Sam’s Club report that almost 1,200 of their pharmacies can now provide ScripTalk audible prescription labels at a patient’s request for no additional charge. If a pharmacy does not yet have audible prescription labels, it can obtain the system for providing them in 7 to 10 days on a single patient’s request. Future audible labels can then be provided with no delays.
