How do I rewind and/or fast-forward a book? (RW/FF buttons)

Rewind button located on the left side of the Play/Stop button, near the bottom front edge of the player Fast-Forward button located on the right side of the Play/Stop button, near the bottom front edge of the player

Rewind and Fast-Forward buttons Primary function: The Rewind (RW)/Fast-Forward (FF) buttons are the principal means of book navigation for the standard player. The behavior of these buttons is the same on both players, however, users of the advanced player have other controls to perform navigation.

The RW button operates as follows:

Time Rewind held Reading position moves
Initial Press 5 seconds
2 seconds 20 seconds
4 seconds 1 minute
7 seconds 5 minutes
10 seconds 15 minutes
Until a chapter boundary is crossed:
13 seconds 30 minutes
16 seconds 1 hour
19 seconds 2 hours
Each 3 seconds +1 hour
Until a chapter boundary is crossed:
Each 2 seconds 1 chapter

The FF button operates as follows:

Time Fast-Forward held Reading position moves
Initial Press 5 seconds
2 seconds 20 seconds
4 seconds 1 minute
7 seconds 5 minutes
10 seconds 15 minutes
Until a chapter boundary is crossed:
13 seconds 30 minutes
16 seconds 1 hour
19 seconds 2 hours
Each 3 seconds +1 hour
Until a chapter boundary is crossed:
Each 2 seconds 1 chapter
