About the Narrator

Erik Synnestvedt

Picture of Erik SynnestvedtErik Synnestvedt (that’s SIN-est-vet) has been an audiobook narrator for more than twelve years, with more than two hundred titles under his belt and counting.  He loves his work as an audiobook narrator and values the opportunity to contribute to the talking-book program.  From his work at the Library of Congress talking-book program to recording for a variety commercial publishers around the country, Synnestvedt has tackled a range of fiction and nonfiction genres, including business and finance, children and young adult, biographies, contemporary culture, sports, self-help, and spirituality, to name just a few.  Titles from the Library’s program that have proven challenging and enjoyable include Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend, Nacky Patcher and the Curse of the Dry-Land Boats, and Fantasyland.

Synnestvedt is also an experienced on-camera actor and voiceover artist.  His work includes projects for AOL, Sprint, the AFL-CIO, the U.S. Postal Service, and many others.  Given his resemblance to the PC Guy in the Mac-versus-PC commercials, it seemed inevitable that he was cast in a series of spoofs pitting a big budget studio movie versus a struggling indie movie, which can be found on YouTube.com.
