The 2012 National Conference of Librarians Serving Blind and Physically Handicapped Individuals will take place in Newport, Rhode Island, May 20–24. The conference will be preceded by a workshop, "Got Digital? Recording, Digitizing, Markup, and More!" from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. A Newport excursion is planned for the afternoon May 22. An optional postconference "pay-as-you-go" event is planned for the afternoon of Thursday, May 24.
Please register for the 2012 conference no later than April 15, 2012 by filling out the Conference Registration form.
Those attending the conference must make reservations by calling the Hotel Viking directly between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Reservations must be made no later than noon on April 15. The daily room rate is $149 per single, $149 per double, plus 13 percent tax (tax is subject to change without notice).
