This reference publication includes Bibles and sacred texts of many world religions in a variety of languages and versions. Commentaries, concordances, liturgies, prayer books, hymnals, and magazines are also listed. These materials are available in audio, braille, digital text, and large print. Prices are not provided as they change frequently. Additional information is available from the listed suppliers.
The guide has four sections: Scope Notes, Materials in the NLS Collection, Sources of Special Format Materials, and Indexes. The first section, Scope Notes, describes religious texts from many faiths and traditions, including various versions of the Bible.
The second section presents braille and talking books available through the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), Library of Congress. This free service is available through a network of cooperating libraries to residents of the United States, or American citizens living abroad, who have a visual impairment or physical disability that prevents them from reading regular print or using printed materials. The third section lists other sources of religious materials in special formats. This publication does not aim to be comprehensive. Please contact the organizations directly to obtain full information. The fourth section indexes materials and providers by subject, media, Bible version, and language.

Ancient epic poem (full title Srimad Valmiki Ramayana) that depicts the journey of Virtue to defeat Vice.
Rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, customs, and history. Consists of the Mishnah (rabbinic literature presenting oral traditions and commentary on Jewish material) and Gemara (rabbinic analysis of the Mishnah, including commentary).
This section lists braille and talking books available through NLS and its network of cooperating libraries. Acronyms preceding a book number indicate its format.
