Network Digital Planning - Module 1: ALA Guidelines (Prine)

Created: 4/11/2008
Updated: 1/13/2009

FY 2008

Review ALA Standard

Initiate a review of ALA Revised Standards and Guidelines...2005 to identify changes in standards for both NLS and its network of cooperating libraries. There has been interest in updating the staffing guidelines in the next iteration of these standards. This may require contracted industry research or on the job experiences as reported by network libraries. Either method may have difficulties quantifying workloads as there may not be comparable jobs to draw from and network libraries will have had only eighteen months experience from which to draw.
