Photographs show ceramic designs by the Ott & Brewer Company of Trenton, New Jersey. In 1876 Ott & Brewer, hired Isaac Broome, a famous 19th century ceramic sculptor, to create a line of porcelain sculptures for the 1876 American centennial. These stereos were taken to copyright designs created by Isaac Broome. Includes the famous "Baseball Vase" and small individual sculptures of a pitcher, a "striker," and a catcher. Also includes busts of Ulysses S. Grant, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Governor Joseph Dorsett Bedle of New Jersey, and Jesus. |
