Many U.S. communities advertise their special qualities via artwork on tall water towers. This one, locally known as "the Gaffney Peachoid" in Gaffney, South Carolina, touts the area's tasty peaches. Neighboring Georgia bills itself as the "Peach Tree State," but South Carolina peaches are also rated highly on the succulence scale. The 135-foot-tall tower holds one million U.S. gallons is visible for several miles around exits to two interstate highways
