This item meets Preservation Directorate specifications for a long-lasting and durable product, appropriate for protecting LC collections, 2-5% alkaline reserve in all paper products. This item passes the Photographic Activity Test.

"Light Strip" or "Camera Negative/Duplicate Negative Wrapper"
All Preservation Master Negatives stored on a core and all Direct Duplicate or Duplicate Negatives stored on a reel have this paper strip loosely wrapped around their rolls of film.

Uses:
This strip records the number of feet in the microfilm roll, the light reading, the density reading and the date. This is essential information for providing settings for making copies of this roll of microfilm and for providing "bottom-line measurements" for evaluating this roll of microfilm over time.
