L-SEALED Enclosure

NOTE: There are two basic designs of polyester folders; one with a heatweld seal along the long side, the other with an "L" seal configuration. Each design works better with some collection items. For instance, a fragile thin paper manuscript is difficult to insert into the "L" Sealed Folder. It is more easily placed in the One-Sided Sealed Folder (#500-511) with the static cling of the polyester holding it in place. A heavier manuscript item (that cannot respond to the static cling) will fall out of the One-Sided Sealed Folder while being easily held in place using the "L" Sealed Folder. Polyester folders need to be ordered with the housing needs of the collection items in mind.

Uses:
For housing of individual items Not Suitable for items that have a friable medium such as unfixed pastel, soft pencil, charcoal, or any media that would be affected by the static electricity of the polyester film. Check with your Preservation Office liaisons if you have further concerns or questions.
