How nice to hear from you, and how sad to find you caught up in the machine. I hope that it's not too bad, and that you are able to do something, as you seem to be doing. I hardly know what to say about that little piece. A). It's rather silly to have such a trifle appear after years of silence, especially in such a collection. B). I don't know if it would sound like anything on the organ..The only charm such a melody had for me was to write it for a percussive instrument which negated in some way its sentimentality. On the organ I am sure it would sound putrid. The climax certainly; but I am pleased you would like to do it. The trouble is, I am pretty sure the ms. is in storage in NY. However, I'll look through things here and if I can find it I'll send it to you. If not, I won't be able to locate it before October. I'll write to you then to see if you still want it.
Best of luck with the collection,
