As Alb R is starting home tomorrow I though I would write a few lines and Send you with him. He came to the Regt today.
Well I have had quite a time to day I must tell you about it. For a few days the Pickets of both armies are on very friendly terms and are giving one an other papers of different kinds. Well to day I was out on the line and there was a lot of Rebs there and one of them invited me to go with him back told me he would insure me a Safe trip &c. So another fellow of our Regt and my Self went over inside their Picket line and stayed about 1/2 an hour. Had a great chat. I talked with one of their officers a mighty Smart fellow.
