Transliteration Tables for African and Middle Eastern Languages

To be successful in searching the online catalog of the Library of Congress for records of materials published in the vernacular scripts of Africa and the Middle East, you must use the American Library Association/Library of Congress romanization (transliteration) tables. The tables for those languages in the custody of the African and Middle Eastern Division are given below, along with a link to the homepage of the particular section responsible for each.
