Africana Librarians Council Handbook

The Africana Librarians Council( referred to as ALC), oldest of the African Studies Association's sponsored groups, was established at the same time as the Association in 1957.  The ALC meets twice yearly, once during the annual meeting of the Association and once in the spring at the home institution of a member. These meetings coincide with meetings of the Cooperative Africana Microfilm Project (CAMP), a consortium whose member institutions purchase or film research materials in cooperation.  This collection is housed at the Center for Research Libraries (CRL ) and is accessible to its members through lending arrangements with Camp or CRL
