Directory of Selected Small Business Information ProvidersCompiled by the staff of the Library of Congress Business Research
Project in 1994 with updates by the This directory is based on a small, nationwide sampling of nonprofit business information providers undertaken in 1994 by the Business Research Project (since disbanded) to identify peer-recommended low or no cost information services available to the small business community. Each of the sixty-six organizations originally selected by the Business Research Project was contacted by the staff of the Business Reference Section in 2001, and asked to update its profile for this listing. Additional changes in contact information have been made since then as they are brought to the attention of the Section. The directory provides contact information and brief descriptions of the programs of selected federal, state, and local government agencies and their affiliates, as well as think tanks and trade associations. To the original listings, we have also added contact information for the lead Small Business Development Center in each state. |
