Description of Selected Items
(Cards - 2)
Both cards of standard postcard size feature a colored photograph of Vladimir Zhirinovskii with captions - "LDPR za russikh!" / ЛДПР за русских! 'LDPR is for Russians!' and "Tol'ko LDPR!" / Только ЛДПР! 'Only LDPR!'
(Posters - 1)
The poster features a colored photograph of Vladimir Zhirinovskii shaking hands with one of the party candidates, Valerii Budanov. Valerii Budanov is the son of Iurii Dmitrievich Budanov. Iurii Budanov is a highly controversial figure in recent Russian history. Serving as a Guards colonel in charge of a tank regiment stationed in Chechnia during the second Chechen campaign, he was found guilty of various war crimes by the Russian military tribunal and sentenced to ten years in prison in 2003, but released on parole in 2008. Iurii Budanov was assassinated in Moscow in the summer of 2011 by an unidentified killer in what appeared to be an act of personal revenge.
(Stickers - 1)
The sticker has the name of the party LDPR / ЛДПР - and the number by which LDPR is listed in election bulletins, #2, both in bold print.
