The Judge Advocate Journal

The Judge Advocate Journal was published quarterly, between 1944 and 1945, by the Judge Advocates Association. The Association, which was organized in Washington, D.C. in 1943, is the only national professional legal organization exclusively dedicated to Judge Advocates and practitioners of military law.
The Journal provides information on World War II‑era and post‑war JAG Corps activities in the Pacific and European theaters of war.

Due to high printing costs as well as the demobilization from the Armed Forces of most of the members of the Judge Advocates Association, the publication of the Judge Advocate Journal was suspended in 1945. Publication of the journal resumed three years later, with the December 1948 issue (Bulletin No. 1).
