The Lieber Collection comprises more than 200 items, some of which have not yet been fully examined due to their fragile condition, such as handwritten documents or slipcases filled with newspaper clippings and handwritten notes. Ranging in dates from the early 1700s to the late 1890s, the publications in this library include materials in French, German, Latin, as well as English. Many of the publications have handwritten notations of both Dr. Lieber and BG Lieber. Among the poignant items are a hand-embroidered bookmark, a personal journal, and numerous letters and notes.
