The Hon. Charles

2. The first hearing, designated as Committee Serial No.177, was
held on July 8, 1947 and includes the report by Mr. Elston, Chairman,
Subcommittee No. 11, Legal. The second hearing, designated as Committee
Serial No.185, was held on July 15, 1947 and includes statements
by Robert P. Patterson, Secretary of War, and General Dwight D.
Eisenhower, Chief of Staff, U.S. Army. (Library of Congress Call
