This manuscript copy of a letter from George Washington to Oliver Pollock,
June 8, 1788, discusses why George Washington felt he should not write directly
to the Spanish Governor of Louisiana, Bernardo de Gálvez. Pollock served
as the General's liaison to the Spanish Governor during the Revolutionary War.
