The Hispanic Division and the 2011 Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee invite you to this year's Hispanic Heritage Month Program. The theme for this

Friday, September 16, Kislak Lecture
Dr. David Stuart, University of Texas, Austin
"Deciphering the Art of the Ancient Maya and the Year 2012"
7 pm to 8 pm, Coolidge Auditorium

Saturday, September 17, Presentation
"2011 Presentation of the Americas Awards for Children's and Young Adult Literature"
9:30 - noon, Mumford Room

Thursday, September 29, Featured Event
Dr. Mark Lopez, Associate Director, Pew Hispanic Center
10 a.m. - noon, Whittall Pavillion.
Ethnic food tasting follows.

Friday, September 30, Book Presentation
"Gabriela Mistral y los Estados Unidos"
4 pm to 6 pm, Pickford Theatre.

Tuesday, October 4th, Poetry Panel
"Frontera sin Frontera: Border Crossing in American and Mexican Poetry"
7 pm to 8 pm, Mumford Room

Monday, October 10th, Film Presentation
"La Bella", (in Spanish with subtitles).
