German Emigrants Database. An ongoing project of the Historisches Museum Bremerhaven (Bremerhaven Historical Museum). Database comprises information on emigrants who left Europe for the United States between 1820 and 1939, primarily from German ports. Much of the data was taken from the passenger manifests of the ships on which the emigrants traveled. Searches of the database can be ordered for a fee by post, fax, or e-mail. In German and English.
