This pathfinder includes the most important sources on Portuguese Education. For information about additional educational resources on Portugal at the Library of Congress, consult its online catalog (http://catalog.loc.gov). The Library of Congress Online Catalog Library of Congress Online Catalog, offers a wide bibliography of published works on subjects relating to Portugal. One need only search the appropriate Library of Congress Subject Headings. Some of the major aggregators for links to a wide variety of subjects relating to Portugal are the following sites: Iberia, The University of California at Berkeley's link to the Iberian Peninsula for both Portugal and Spain Iberian Studies Web, of WESS. While focusing on the United States, The National Library of Education is the federal government's main resource center for education information. However, one should note that at that site, the ERIC database provides a wide range of documents and articles for the international audience. The database contains more than one million abstracts of education-related documents and journal articles. One may access the ERIC database on the Internet (See AskERIC below) or through commercial vendors and public networks. The ERIC abstracts are available in print publications such as Resources in Education and Current Index to Journals in Education.

The Portuguese National Council for Education (consultative organ of the Ministry of Education) Web site. CiTi : CENTRO DE INVESTIGAÇÃO PARA TECNOLOGIAS INTERACTIVAS  (http://www.citi.pt)
The CiTi (Research Center for Interactive Technology) Web site presents information about culture (architecture, fine arts, dance, science, cinema, history, history of culture, journalism, literature, music, politics, radio, and theater), cyberinformation (texts about history of music, the "Lusíadas", headings, books, etc.), online thesis and dissertations about interactive technology, videos, master's and doctorate's in the area of interactive technology, and news. The António Aurélio da Costa Ferreira Institute for Educational Innovation exists to promote and to support (financially, logistically and scientifically) innovation in education, particularly in schools.
