Australasian Legal Information Institute
Access to a wide range of material related to Australian law, including searchable Australian law databases. Among these databases is the full text of the Commonwealth Consolidated Acts; researchers can browse by the name of the act or choose from a variety of keyword search methods. The site also includes the full text of many important documents, including the reports of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Deaths in Custody and Bringing Them Home, the report of the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families.

Parliament of Australia
Information about the two houses of Parliament, the Senate and the House of Representatives; information about members and officers of Parliament; an index to and full text of bills since 1996; and the full text of Parliamentary floor debates (the Hansard) going back to 1996, searchable by keyword or browsable by date. The Parliamentary Library website provides historical information about the Parliament going back to 1901 and the full text of the latest edition of the Parliamentary Handbook.

Commonwealth of Australia Law (ComLaw)
From the Australian Attorney General's Department, a searchable database of current (2005 to present) and some historical acts, bills, and other legislative instruments. Information from the ScalePlus databases are gradually being migrated to ComLaw.
ScalePlus (Australian Attorney-General's Department)
Free searchable database of Commonwealth bills (1998-2005), treaties in force up to 1998, Federal and state acts and regulations (current and some retrospective), selected Federal and state case law, and regulations for selected Commonwealth dependencies. More current information is available on ComLaw, which is gradually superseding ScalePlus.
