Australian National University (ANU) Library
The library of Australia's national university provides an online catalog, subject guides to the library collections, and various digital collections, including Demetrius (digital repository of publications by ANU staff and students) and the Asia Pacific Digital Collections. The website also includes links to electronic resources available only to ANU faculty, staff, and students.
Libraries Australia
Portal to Australian libraries, from the National Library of Australia. Free features include partial access to the Australian National Bibliographic Database, an online union catalog of Australian libraries, via a simple keyword search interface. There are also various online finding guides. Full access to Libraries Australia requires a paid subscription.
Library and Information Service of Western Australia
Information about Western Australia's state library, including access to its online catalog via a Web interface.
National Library of Australia
Information about the library's collections and services, including a Web interface for the NLA computer catalog searchable by author, title, subject, and control number; PANDORA, a searchable archive of Australian Internet sites; and PADI, a collection of online resources relating to preservation and archiving of digital information.
State Library of New South Wales
Website for the oldest public library in Australia. Among the online resources made available are a Web version of its online catalog (with holdings from 1980 to the present), INFOQUICK (an index of the Australian content of the Sydney Morning Herald from 1988 to 2005), INFOKOORI (an index to various Aboriginal publications, including the Koori Mail), and PICMAN (database of State Library pictures and manuscripts cataloged since 1992; includes some digital images).
State Library of Queensland
Includes Web access to the Library's various online catalogs, online resources related to Queensland history, a directory of public libraries in Queensland, and other resources.
State Library of South Australia
Official website which includes access to the library's online catalog, a database of archival records, the South Australiana Database of photographs and published articles, and the Manning Index of South Australian History (index to newspapers and magazines, 1837-1937)
State Library of Tasmania
Information about the library's collections, access to the TALIS online catalog, a database of Tasmanian images, and other features.
State Library of Victoria
Includes collection descriptions and Web access to various online catalogs and databases, including the Library's catalog of books and journals; separate catalogs of manuscripts and images held by the Library; and indexes to Victorian government publications (post-1987) and Australiana.
