Saturday Classes for Researchers

Research orientation classes, taught by reference librarians and dealing with many aspects of using the Library and the collections will now be taught on Saturdays. The Saturday orientations are themed and focus on providing researchers an opportunity to learn more about the Library, its collections, expertise, services, and programs.

June 2 - Local History & Genealogy
June 9 - General Research Orientation
June 16 - American Folklife Center
June 23 - Business Reference Services
June 30 - Law

July 7 - General Research Orientation
July 14 - General Research Orientation
July 21 - African & Middle Eastern Division
July 28 - Prints & Photographs Division

August 4 - Law
August 11 - General Research Orientation
August 25 - Manuscript Division

September 1 - Local History & Genealogy
September 8 - General Research Orientation
September 15 - Manuscript Division
September 22 - Performing Arts Reading Room
September 29 - Asian Division

October 27 - Manuscript Division

Classes are held in Room 139B of the Jefferson Building. For sessions held in other areas of the Library, the class will meet in Room 139B and will be led to another area by a librarian.
