Applications and Nominations

Applications for the Library of Congress Coca-Cola Fellowship for the Study of Advertising and World Cultures will be accepted beginning December 1, 2004. Alternatively, a researcher may be nominated for the Fellowship by a third party; the nominee will then be asked to submit an application. Nominations may also be submitted by fax to (202) 707-2371 or by email to cokefellow@loc.gov. Telephone nominations will not be accepted.

Applications Guidelines

Applications for the Library of Congress Coca-Cola Fellowship for the Study of Advertising and World Cultures should include:

• A statement (of no more than three double-spaced pages) of the scholar's proposed research. The statement should include an indication of the audio-visual collections at the Library of Congress that will be used during the research period.
  
• A single paragraph abstract of the project proposal.
• A curriculum vitae which demonstrates evidence of prior scholarly work and publication.
• Letters of recommendation from three people. These may be colleagues, administrators, employers, and others having knowledge of the applicant's scholarship and character.
• Preference will be given to those with recent doctoral or other terminal academic degrees.
