Note: Continuation of The New-Jersey journal, published in Chatham, N.J. Between Dec. 3, 1783 and sometime in Dec. 1784, the word "the" was not included between the words "and" and "country" in the newspaper's title. For the period Dec. 7, 1784-Mar. 5, 1785, title was: The New-York gazetter. As of Mar. 8 1785, title again became: The New-York gazetteer and country journal. Continued by the New-York gazetteer, or, Daily evening post, starting with the issue of Aug. 14, 1786.
