Note: Continuation of The Federal gazette and Philadelphia daily advertiser. Between Jan. 1 or 3, 1795-June 17, 1800, an "&" replaced the "and" in the title. The issue of Feb. 21, 1800, page 3, column 2, contains the President's proclamation "That it be recommended to the people of the United States, to assemble on the 22d day of February, publickly to testify their grief for the death of General George Washington, by suitable eulogies, orations, and discourses, or by public prayers". Conintiued by The Philadelphia gazette & daily advertiser, starting with the issue of June 18, 1800.
