490. The Edenton intelligencer. w., Apr. 9-June 4, 1788.

Note: Continuation of The North-Carolina gazette, or, Edenton intelligencer, which was established on Oct. 24, 1787. The earliest issue located of The Edenton intelligencer, is that of Apr. 9, 1788. The issue of Apr. 9, 1788, spells "Inteligencer" incorrectly in the title; although, this is probably a typographical error, for the correct spelling appears elsewhere in the same issue. The only other issue located is that of June 4, 1788.

Note: Continuation of the State gazette of North- Carolina. The earlliest issue located is that of Feb. 27, 1799. The last issue located is that of May 1, 1799.

Note: Issues of July 11, Aug. 15, 1787, have a hyphen between "North" and "Carolina" in the title. Between 1789 and 1790, title was continued by the North-Carolina gazette.

501. The Newbern gazette. w., Apr. 7, 1798-1800(?).

Note: Continued by The Newbern gazette. And political and miscellaneous register, late in 1800 or early 1801.

502. The North-Carolina gazette. w., May 27 (?), 1768-Nov. 30, 1778.

Note: The subtitle With the latest advices, foreign and domestick, follows the title after a period. The "k" in "domestick" is dropped in 1777 (?). Publication was occassionally suspended during this period. The last issue located is that of Nov. 30, 1778.

Note: This was the first newspaper published in North Carolina. Established in early August 1751, judging from the date of the earliest issue located, that of Nov. 15, 1751. The last issue located is that of Oct. 18, 1759.

506. The State gazette of North-Carolina. w., November 1785- summer 1788.

Note: Established in November 1785, judging from the date of the earliest issue located, that of Oct. 4, 1787, vol. 2, no. 99. Removed to Edenton, N.C. in the summer of 1788. The last issue located published in Newbern is that of Mar. 27, 1788.
