Cornell University Library Making of America Collection
The collection includes 955 volumes from twenty-two nineteenth-century periodicals digitized by Cornell University as part of the original Making of America project.
Emergence of Advertising in America: 1850-1920
This collection presents over 9,000 images relating to
the early history of advertising in the United States. Included
in the collection are cookbooks, photographs of billboards,
print advertisements, trade cards, calendars, almanacs,
and leaflets for a multitude of products.
The site provides information and links on the geography,
people, politics, and economics of the fifty states. The
site includes information pertaining to Michigan's
and much more.
American Sheet Music, 1850-1920
This collection includes 3042 pieces of sheet music published
in America between 1850 and 1920.
Society of Michigan
The Historical Society of Michigan stimulates and encourages
citizens in the collection, preservation, interpretation
and publication of Michigan history through conferences,
publications, awards, educational programs, consulting services
and related historical activities.
The Making of
Collaborative digital project involving more than fifty Michigan
libraries. Headed by the Michigan State University Libraries
in partnership with the Library of Michigan and the Michigan
Michigan.gov is the official State of Michigan Portal to
state government Web sites and information. The site includes
selected resources on federal, county, and local government.
National Park Service (NPS)
The fundamental purpose of the NPS is to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wild life therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such
means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations. The NPS provides highlights, statistics, and a list of national parks for Michigan.

The Wayne State University Library System and the Walter
P. Reuther Library, home to the University Archives and
the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs, present digitized
images from the Detroit News Collection of original negatives
held by the Reuther Library.
