The Other Green Line and the Sweetest Tomato in the World

This image was acquired from the NOAA 18 satellite by the AVHRR (advanced very high resolution radiometer) sensor. The acquisition was made by the Earth and Planetary Image Facility multimission receiving station at Ben Gurion University(BGU) in the Negev. The facility is part of the Department of Geography and Environmental Development at BGU.

Within the image two political borders that have made an impression on the physical environment can clearly be observed: the Israel Egypt border and the "Green Line" on the eastern side of Israel.
