MADS 2.0 User Guidelines

This document should be used in conjunction with the Metadata Authority Description Schema (MADS) Version 2.0

These guidelines are primarily intended to be used for assistance in creating original MADS records, although they may also be instructive in interpreting MADS records that have been converted from MARC 21 or for use in developing detailed conversion specifications. This document reflects MADS version 2.0. The MADS User Guidelines are maintained by the Library of Congress with the MADS Editorial Committee.
