METS News and AnnouncementsAcknowledgment: Jerome McDonough (October 01, 2021)The METS Editorial Board would like to acknowledge the significant contributions that Jerome McDonough has made to the Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS). The original chair of the board when METS was created and for a number of years serving as an ex-officio member, Jerome�s passion for digital preservation and metadata have contributed in many ways to make METS what it is today. Jerome McDonough passed away in September 2021. He will be greatly missed by the digital preservation metadata community.
