Description: Archives New Zealand is currently developing a Government Digital Archive. The development of an industrial-strength digital archive will enable Archives New Zealand to take in large-scale transfers of government agency digital records, such as email messages, videos, databases and electronic documents. This work is being done in collaboration with the National Library of New Zealand. The existing infrastructure of the Library’s National Digital Heritage Archive (NDHA) will be leveraged to provide a full solution for digital public archives. Additional work streams include the development of tools and procedures for the transfer of digital records.
Start Date: 0000-00-00
Stakeholder/Audience The new Zealand public in general, researchers more specifically but also public sector agencies who sometimes need to access the records they have transferred to us.
