Description: The National Library is developing a new technical infrastructure, built on the OAIS reference model, for processing and storing digital objects. These objects will either be delivered as e-deposits (a new e-deposit law is probably due from 2012), or they will be the result of our own digitization projects. These object may be of any content type - text, still image, video, sound recording , etc. PREMIS will be the main metadata standard for packaging technical and administrative data about all objects. We plan to have the first implementation ready in the beginning of 2012.
Start Date: 2012-01-01
Stakeholder/Audience The scholarly community first of all, the general public when the material is free of access
