Description: The ERA Project, under development from 2005-2011, is a system for the preservation of the electronic records of the Federal Government. It consists of multiple instances for the preservation of Federal Records, Congressional Records, Presidential Records, and an online public access piece to provide access to the general public. The ERA system provides capabilities for transfer, ingest, storage and preservation of electronic records, as well as workflow functionality to support transactions between the National Archives and Federal Agencies related to records scheduling and transfer of physical and legal custody.
