This recipe is important to me because it has been in my family for years. My mother first learned this recipe from my great-grandmother. Now I have learned how to cook it. Everytime my mom cooks it, i'm right there just waiting to eat it.
6 Bell Peppers
1 pound of ground beef
1 cup of rice
1 cup of small frozen shrimp
1/2 small onion
1 small pack of cheese (shredded)
salt and pepper (to taste)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash bell peppers and cut in half. Boil in a pot of water for 5 minutes. Drain and set them aside. Finely chop onion. Brown ground beef, add onions whild browning ground beef. Boil rice. Cook shrimp in microwave for 2-4 minutes. Combine everything in a large bowl. Add salt and pepper (to taste). Stuff each bell pepper with mixture. Add cheese over each bell pepper. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
