My namae is Charleton. The reason why I picked gumbo is because, it is a dish that my family cooks for almost all holidays. It is easy to make. My grandmother makes it from scratch.


2 tablespoon oil or shortening
2 tablespoon flour
1 large onion,chopped
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 cup water
1 teaspoon steamed rice
2 cup chopped D & D sausage
1 cup shrimp
2 cup drummets
1 cup gizard
1 cup tamaro sause


Heat up the pot with sorteningand put some garlic in it to spice it up. Then chop celery, parsley, onion, and water. Then add shrimp, drummets, tomato sauce, and D & D sausage.
