Empanadas de cerveza

America, North: mexico

Hy my name is Javier and I like this recipe because its something you can eat when you're watching TV and it remainds me of my grandma's cooking. You can also eat them when you're having a party, or bring to a party.

7 cups of flour
1 stick of butter
2 tbs. of vegetable oil
a pinch of salt
1 can of beer
1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon
1 jar of orange, pineapple or peach marmalade

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, butter, vegetable oil, then add slowly the beer. Then make small balls, flatten with palm of hand, put just a little bit of mamalade in the piece of dough, and then fold over and close the edges with a fork.

Cook for 13 to 15 min. and as soon as they're out pass them through the sugar and cinnamon mixed together, then get them out and let them cool for 30 min. or an hour.

Now you can enjoy your empanadas with the rest of your family.
