Potato Casserole

America, North: American

My name is Paul Azzone and this recipe is a family favorite side dish. It goes with any main course. Not only is it delicious but very easy to make.

Ingredients

2 STICKS OF BUTTER (DIVIDED) MELTED
1 (2 POUND) PACKAGE OF SOUTHERN STYLE HASH BROWNS
1 CAN CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP
2-1/2 CUPS OF GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
1/4 CUP CHOPPED ONIONS
1 16 OZ. CONTAINER OF SOUR CREAM
2 CUPS OF CORN FLAKES (CRUSHED)

Preparation

IN A LARGE BOWL, MIX ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT 1 STICK OF MELTED BUTTER AND CORN FLAKES. POUR MIXTURE IN A 9 x 12 CASSEROLE DISH AND SET ASIDE. MIX CORN FLAKES AND REMAINING BUTTER. MIX WELL AND SPREAD ON TOP OF POTATOES. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ONE HOUR.

CASSEROLE CAN BE FROZEN OR REFRIGERATED TO BAKE ANOTHER DAY.
