Mrs. Brown's Homemade Rolls America, North: American--Southern Cuisine

These rolls are the #1 family holiday favorite. The first time I met my future mother-in-law was the day before Thanksgiving; she was in the kitchen mixing bread dough effortlessly. My soon-to-be husband could not wait for his mom to finish the rolls. Within a day, the batch of rolls she made with ease was soon gone. At her son's request, she made another batch of rolls, and then she told me, "Cedric loves bread." I knew that I needed that bread recipe to bring joy to my husband's heart. The recipe has done that and more....
Ingredients 2 cups boiling water 1 cup sugar 1 cup shortening 2-1/2 teaspoons salt 2 eggs well beaten 2-3 packets yeast 6+ cups flour	Preparation Mix the first three ingredients until the shorteniing dissolves. Combine the last four ingredients, then pour the first three ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir evenly. Cover well. Let rise overnight. Shape as desired, but not too thin. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 15 minutes.
