HUNGARIAN GOULASH (SLOW COOKER)

MY NAME IS PAUL AZZONE. THIS RECIPE WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A CO-WORKER. THIS DISH IS SO EASY TO MAKE AND JUST GREAT FOR THOSE WITH A BUSY SCHEDULE.

Ingredients

2 LBS OF BEEF CUT INTO 1 INCH CUBES
1 LARGE ONION (SLICED)
1 CLOVE OF GARLIC (MINCED)
1/2 CUP OF CATSUP
2 TABLESPOONS OF WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
1 TABLESPOON OF BROWN SUGAR (OPTIONAL)
1 TEASPOON OF SALT
2 TEASPOONS OF PAPRIKA
1 TEASPOON OF MUSTARD
1 CUP OF WATER
1/4 CUP OF FLOUR

Preparation

PLACE MEAT IN SLOW COOKER, COVER WITH SLICED ONION, COMBINE GARLIC, CATSUP, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, SUGAR, PAPRIKA & MUSTARD. STIR IN WATER. POUR OVER MEAT. COVER AND COOK ON LOW FOR 8 HOURS. TURN CONTROL TO HIGH. DISSOLVE FLOUR IN SMALL AMOUNT OF COLD WATER. STIR INTO MEAT MIXTURE. COOK ON HIGH FOR ABOUT 1/2 HOUR OR UNTIL SLIGHTLY THICKENED. SERVE GOULASH OVER COOKED NOODLES OR RICE. SERVES 6.
