My Mom used to make these when I was little. They are fun to make, no baking involved. And they look just like the nut from the trees on our street. When we were little, we would collect the nuts and make necklaces out of them.

When I moved away from home (Ohio), I found out that there are alot of people who do not know what a buckeye is. But if you love peanut butter and chocolate like I do, than this is the treat for you!

I make them every Christmas with my daughters and pass down the story behind it.
