Apricot Balls

America, North: Caucasian

My mother used to make these for winter holiday treats when I was little. I had forgotten about these little gems until I was in my late 30's and an elderly woman, who lives in my neighborhood, brought them to a holiday party. She was delighted to give me the recipe and to know I would use it to carry on a tradition that was both hers and mine.

Apricot Balls

4 C apricots (about 1 lb), chopped finely
4 C flaked coconut
2 C blanched, toasted almonds, finely chopped
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk.

Mix together and roll into balls. Chill.
