Fondue Quebec

We served this menu on my mothers birthday and on many other special occasions. There is no real special story behind this menu, only that I really like this. It\'s very sweet and perfect for anniversaries.


25 centiliters maple syrup
35 centiliters white wine
juice of 1 lemon
5 centiliters of rum
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
2 spoons of raspberry sauce

to dip : cookies, cake pieces, all sorts of pieces of fruit like apple, pear, dried plums or exotic fruit like mangos, bananas, pineapple, papayas etc.


Pour the wine, the maple syrup, the lemon juice, the cinnamon, the cloves in the casserole. Put the casserole on a source of heat and bring everything to a boil. Let it boil another 10 minutes on high heat and pour it through astrainer. Pour it back into the casserole and let it boil for another five
minutes on medium high heat until it becomes a thick and heavy syrup. Add the
raspberry sauce and rum , stir, and serve.
