Arepas

America, South: Venezuelan

One time there was a party for the last day of school and we made arepas but we only had 12 of them. Everyone loved them so much that we had to cut them in half to share them!

Ingredients

2 cups of cornmeal
2 1/2 cups of water
2 tsp of salt

Preparation

First you add 2 tsp salt to the dry cornmeal. Next you add 2 1/2 cup of water, and knead the damp cornmeal with your hands. Then cook it till its brown on each side. Add butter, ham, cheese etc. You can add what you like. This recipe can be for any category. Finally you have an arepa!
