Teaching with Primary Sources Onsite Workshop — Rosa Parks Focus

Join Library of Congress education specialists for a one-day Teaching with Primary Sources professional development for K-12 educators, incorporating primary sources from the Rosa Park Papers at the Library of Congress. In this hands-on, collaborative workshop, Library specialists will model a variety of inquiry-based teaching strategies which will help educators use primary sources to: engage students, build critical thinking skills, construct knowledge, and inspire original research. Digitized primary sources from the Rosa Parks Papers will be featured. Additionally, participating educators will explore the Library of Congress website and participate in a special guided tour of the Library’s Rosa Parks exhibit: In Her Own Words.
