Speaker Biography: Henry Wiencek is a writer and Research Fellow at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. He is also the winner of the 1999 National Book Critics? Circle Award in biography for "The Hairstons: An American Family in Black and White." He has also produced numerous books for the Smithsonian, National Geographic and Time-Life.
