Speaker Biography: Gail Carson Levine is the author of fairy tales and fantasy books for children. Her first published book, "Ella Enchanted", was a best seller and a 1998 Newbery Honor Book. She has since produced the Princess Tales series and several works of historical and contemporary fiction. Her most recent book, "Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand" (Disney, 2007), is the sequel to "Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg" (2005). She lives in Brewster, New York.
